After nearly ten years' efforts, Beijing's application for the Central Axis has entered the final stage. On December 29, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Cultural Heritage and Tencent officially announced that the "Digital Central Axis" project will be launched in a digital way, which will give another boost to its World Heritage Application. One of the most important measures is that Tencent will open its accumulated game technologies, including game engine technology, physical simulation technology and cloud gaming technology, to directly help the construction of the digital exhibition system of Beijing Central Axis.

Through the combination of these game technologies and high-definition digital scanning of cultural heritage, we hope that more people can intuitively feel the grandeur of the Central Axis and the changes of the four seasons at home through the "Digital Axis", and meanwhile, fully understand the profound cultural heritage and historical connotation of the Central Axis through real-time interaction. With the "Axis on the Cloud" applet, you may become Zhang Zhou in the Honor of Kings who sits on a huge swift. Brushing away the clouds, you will see the panorama of the entire Central Axis of 7.8 kilometers. You can fly from the Altar of the God of Agriculture to Zhengyang Gate and from the Forbidden City to the Bell and Drum Tower. Not only can you have a panoramic view of the four seasons of the Central Axis, but also hear the evening drum and morning bell in a monastery, the vendor's hawking under the Zhengyang Gate, or the Beijing accent and ancient rhyme in a theatrical stage.
